I am finally brave enough to admit that I have been afflicted with Joe Marvullo Syndrome, a temporary loss of faculties due to staring at his hot ass on book covers. And Mama don’t need no cure!

It’s only very recently that I was introduced to Brandon & Spencer’s story. Kimberly Knight is EVERYWHERE on Facebook, and I could finally hold out no longer, I had to check out her books. I was hooked immediately. Brandon & Spencer are relatable characters with seemingly ordinary lives (OK, yes, they’re super-hot and all that, but still seem like *real* people)
Their love story starts in Where I Need To Be, and continues in Wanted. Brandon and Spencer are meant for each other, and deeply in love. But this poor couple has been put through the WRINGER! Deluded exes, old rivals, predatory cougars, even kidnapping! It’s insane! We finally see them engaged at the end of Wanted, but then comes a knock at the door. Who is it? WE DON’T FIND OUT!!!! ARRRRGGGHHH!!!
When I received my ARC of Anything Like Me, I said a silent prayer, “Please, baby Jesus, PLEASE let this couple just have their HEA already! Haven’t they been through enough? Oh, and while I have you on the line, who the hell was at the door?!?!?!”
Of course, this wouldn’t be a B&S story without angst and drama for our couple. There were several moments were I was all, “Nooooooooo!” Let’s just look at my GoodReads updates, shall we?
Yeah. Now you’re picking up what I’m laying down. In this installment, they’re dealing with court cases, crazy family, death, and predatory cougars (STILL!). But Kimberly does eventually have mercy on Brandon & Spencer, and they are happy, together, and their world is looking up. We get a super-sweet epilogue that makes me so happy for them! AND a little birdie told me that we may be getting a novel from Brandon’s POV, which I could not be happier about!
One thing I didn’t mention…the hotness factor. All I can say about that is….DAYUM. Brandon & Spencer are scorching!! My Kindle fogged up more than once!!!
So, in summation. Sexy leading man, strong leading lady. Drama, angst, sadness, HOT SEX, happy tears, laughter, and joy. I’d say this book has it all!
